About the photo

This is a portion of a Diego Rivera  mural in the Detroit Institute of Art. Painted in 1932-1933, there are 27 panels in all and they depict the industries of Detroit, in particular the Ford Motor Company.  In fact Edsel and Henry Ford figure prominently in several panels. (As does Dick Tracy, btw…)The murals cover an entire room and it is spectacular.  Below are several panels.

As you can tell from the 3rd shot, we were at the wonderful DIA for my niece’s wedding, which was in the mural room.  The last shot is a family one…
